About

I am a graduate from the University of Plymouth, currently living in Bristol. The following pages and post are a collection of some my work undertaken in the past 3 years as well as my interests and activities.

The start of my architectural education has taught me to view the built environment in a completely different perspective. Elements and details that I would have previously overlooked, I now appreciate and admire. I enjoy noticing the parts that the oblivious eye or the rushed look does not see, but in fact makes the building.

Travelling and exploration is something which has proved a great and enjoyable benefit. The ability to get out there and experience architecture, and to immerse yourself in an environment for the first time is something that simply can’t be achieved from a conceptual studio learning technique. Observing people and place has become a key aspect in which I start any studio project before considering further analysis and alterations. It is also possibly the stage I find most fascinating, the studying of people from a distance, to see how they navigate and interact subconsciously with there built surroundings. To me this fundamentally is how we learn best to design for people.
